Laguna Verde is a seafront private residential estate located at 8 Laguna Verde Avenue, Hung Hom, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It is divided into 5 phases, consisting of 25 blocks, providing 4,735 units. Its original site was the China Light and Power Heyuan Power Plant. It was relocated from 1994 to 1996 and then rebuilt into a residential area (but the power plant's affiliated substation was not demolished and was removed from the project site). It was built by Cheung Kong Holdings and CLP Power Group, designed and planned by Xingye Architects, and managed by Goodway Property Management under Cheung Kong Holdings. The contractor for Phase I was Hin Lee Engineering; Phase II, Phase III and the residents’ club were built by Modern Architecture; Phase IV, Phase V and the Hoi Yat Place shopping mall were built by Shi Feng Construction. Verde is located on the waterfront of Tai Wan, with some units overlooking Victoria Harbour and Lei Yue Mun. It is adjacent to Hutchison Park to the west, World of Whampoa and Hung Hom Bay to the southwest, and has the Laguna Beach shopping mall to the north. It is designed in European architectural style. The housing estate is the first in Hong Kong to adopt the "permanent exterior wall" design. The estate also has a French Versailles-style residents' clubhouse with a garden swimming pool. The unit areas range from 467 square feet to 1,880 square feet.
